A horde of ladies came into my shop today and bought a whole slew of underwear and lingerie and other cute things for a bridal shower, which, in my opinion, is one of the cutest things ever. Of course, when I married, I didn't need presents...nevertheless, I think the bridal shower (oh, doesn't involve water, by the way) is a darling little ritual modern mortals have invented.

Furthermore, they invited me to the bachelorette party. It's supposed to be lots of fun with alcohol and men~ Hm, men~ I've almost forgotten all the fun you could have with them.

Also, has anyone seen Suada? She's missing and I'm worried... [gone;]

Married women make the mistake of no longer dressing up for their husbands. Part of the fun of marriage is not only getting married but staying married. I overheard ladies in the shop talk about how 'once I'm married, I don't have to worry about *expletive* like this anymore,' which is completely erroneous. I think that keeping things exciting within the marriage is significant.

Hm, I do miss my Phoroneus and Hermes~

I apologize if I seem like I have completely disappeared in the past week. I assure you it is not the case. I have just been completely preoccupied with the wonderful little store I am now the happy proprietor of. It is just simply the most adorable little store ever and the merchandise - I've just had so much fun helping the customers try them on.

I even think I'll launch my own line for my own amusement - private, just for my store. I think it will be interesting~

So this is where everyone has been disappearing to. I've been gradually growing more concerned as I missed the presence of more and more of you. Rumors of Cronus' wrath...but I see it is true, then. Aphrodite, I hope you are here and safe and sound?

What do I need to know of this new world, then? Are we just supposed to try to fit in? I assumed we were supposed to do some of that, at least, as this scruffy gentleman approached me with papyrus and documents informing me that I was supposed to go by the name Kimatra Sikyonia now. I also apparently have a clothing business downtown. Would anyone like to tutor me on all this?

Aphrodite;; Peitho was Aphrodite's loyal handmaid. She assisted Aphrodite in her endeavors - most significantly, she was known to have been present at the unions of Jason & Medea, Cadmus (Kadmos) & Harmonia and Paris & Helen. She was the nurse for the Erotes and was written in conjunction with Aphrodite very often.

Ate;; Ate was Peitho's sometimes-mother. For this incarnation, we have made it so that Peitho is Ate's sort-of adopted daughter.

Athena;; Possibly less than amicable, considering the relationship between Aphrodite and Athena. Peitho was also on Aphrodite's side during the weaving contest.

Dionysus;; Dionysus and Peitho seemed to have shared some form of friendship, if nothing else. Peitho assisted Dionysus in several of his conquests, two of them stand out: Aura and Pallene.

Eros;; She was said to be the nurse of the Erotes - thus, Eros was one of her wards. Later on, they seem to have been lovers as some sources cite Eros and Peitho as Hygeia's parents.

1. It is important to note that Peitho is actually a handmaid of marriage and, thusly, finds that long-term relationships are far more important than flings. One of her symbols is a ball of yarn, which, presumably, is symbolic of the binding of two people together.


2. Peitho is often depicted fleeing the scene of a rape. While bridal abduction seems to be part of her Pantheon, crimes committed for the sake of mere sex or power are not. In this light, mun does not think that bridal abduction was exactly a crime in those days as long as you...intended to make an honest woman out of her.


3. Peitho's other symbol is a dove. This incarnation of Peitho has a pet dove named Eira.
